In a closely fought competition, Dave Duarte had to have 2 rounds of clapping to decide the 27 eSquared Tshirt competition winner, before he could award the winning voucher of an eSquared Tshirt to Tania.
What did the contestants have to do?
Dave simply asked ANYONE @ the 27 Dinner to come and speak about any topic for a minute. First up was Shelly, quickly followed by Vinny, but unfortunately both had to be disqualified as they were sitting @ my table!
So only 2 brave contestants, Tania & Lorynne (who is looking to do some part time work before she leaves for spain) braved the FIERCE 27 Crowd (k - they’re computer geeks - they weren’t so tough!!)
I was truly stoked that Tania won…
…and Tania not only facebooked me as soon as the competition was announced to ask me about it, but she FOLLOWED up with a comment on the eSquaredFashion blog asking a question about the competition.
SEE, perseverance DOES pay!

I am equally chuffed for having won the eSquared t-shirt, although I made such a feeble off-the-cuff speech that I think I won purely from the audience’s sense of mercy.
I believe that except for love, all things are best done in moderation. In spite of this professed belief, I remain a hypocrite insofar as there are one or two areas of my life in which I have not yet achieved a desirable state of moderation; I am without a doubt a t-shirt addict, and look forward to coming to Sea Point with the specific purpose of using my voucher.
