I was watching Oprah the other night and saw this story about Claudia Mitchell, the world’s 1st Bionic Woman; I found her fascinating and wanted to share a small part of her story with you.
Claudia lost her arm in a motorbike accident and is now the fourth person and first woman to receive a $4 million, “bionic” arm, which allows her to control parts of the device with just her thoughts. The device, works by detecting the movements of a chest muscle that has been rewired to the stumps of nerves that once went to her now-missing limb.
Well, I’m still blown away by this story! Are transformers taking over?
