Day 2 of Fashion Week here in sunny Durbs kicked off featuring some awesome young designers in the MTN Young Designer segment. Ranging from candy colours to sleek slvete dresses and just plain mad hatter weirdness, they sent in the troops armed to the teeth for fashion warfare.
Some of the fabulous young designers showcasing their considerable talent were Che Chile with a very candy coloured range of garments. Perfect for those trips to Cape Town (girls check out the speedos on those guys… now now.. no numbers will be given away for almost any price - ahem.) The whole range smacked of Miami Vice. Get your Don Johnson on before trying these suits on fellas! (oy! did I actually just write that:O)
Alves with a bit more of a boy-band kind of look full of clean jeans and white tops. Perfect for teenage guys into the whole super clean look.
Lauren Taylor came through with a very well finished range with plenty of really cool gear for gals. I can definitely see these pieces at the clubs - very sexy! My friend Lauren from Krakatoa would LURVE these babies to shake her booty in.
One of the ranges was a bit too Derelicte for my taste tho. And we all know what Hansel said to Derek about what he could Derelicte!!!! Each to their own though and maximum respect for the enormous effort that went into all the ranges.
