Over Drive Anime
Hey there everybody.
Ok, so Im sure most of you know us at eSquared are obsessed (or possessed) by Japanese anime (animated shows). Most of the time we like to show HARDCORE anime with action and excitement…or pretty much anything that explodes. This time I thought I’d be a little different.
Over Drive is about a young first year high school student called Shinozaki Mikoto, who is pretty much a geek who sucks at sport and isn’t much better at academics. About the only thing going for him is that he is good artist, however he still has no friends and the bullies make him run errands for them constantly, as well as steal his cash.
This changes when the girl he loves, invites him to join the cycling club run by her extremely talented brother, who is known as cycling’s “Uncrowned King”. In the beginning he cant even ride a bicycle, however his determination to one day cycle in the Tour de France and to find himself, pushes him to achieve his goal.
Over Drive is a coming of age story, that inspires you to do your best and to find your own inner fire. Granted all the hardcore mech and battle anime watchers will probably hate this at first, but give it a chance, you may be surprised at how the story sucks you in. The episodes (26 in total) are currently being aired on TV Tokyo and being produced by Pony canyon and Xebec.

I love this anime. That is extra cool! Shinozaki… Kurosuke… They are great. And the whole idea, I would have never thought about making an anime about cycling… Music is also fantastic, you can find it out watching intro.
