Hi Guys - I just saw this and absolutely had to share this bit of Cell Phone Karma with you - This just takes the concept of cell phone etiquette to a whole new level
What really amazes me is people’s inability to switch their bloody cellphones off at movie, funerals, weddings, births, bris - you name it.
So what is the cause : well this is a reflection of the inability to cease the internal dialogue. The internal dialogue is that little voice that keeps going on in your head and doesn’t let you focus properly or rest and sleep. It’s the beguiling homonculous in running amuck in your head that confuses people and creates deep levels of suffering.
Sometimes people need to learn how to just STOP.
So why is there so much nonsense running around your head? Today, people don’t meditate enough, and are constantly surrounded by too much information, misinformation and huge amounts of white noise and static. It’s all just too distracting.
If one is constantly focusing on that which one is TOLD that is important, it must becomes so, and one becomes the causality of that.
What is important to you?
Now with cell phones one is never alone.
Sometimes one needs to shut all that nonsense off. No e-mails. No cell phones. Just go somewhere and be quiet for a while… then listen and OBSERVE. Become AWARE of how in that quiet space the only noise is that which is inside your head.
Your thoughts, your doubts, your plans, your expectations, the expectations that other have for you or of you… Understand that anything you will create will be borne of these elements and if you continue like this you will never free of them.
So clean your head out. Take some time to stretch regularly. Your mind, body and spirit are one. If your body is tight and inflexible – so will your mind and spirit be.
Stop reading the newspapers. Switch your cellphone off. Turn off that television. Stop eating so much junk and breathing so much polluted air. Exercise. Read something that isn’t going to reinforce your belief that we live in a world of limits that have been set by someone else.
Read things that will ENRICH your spirit and mind.
Look at pictures that will remind you of the heaven you ALREADY live in - a realm of INFINITE, BEAUTIFUL, WONDEROUS, LIMITLESS POSSIBILITIES.
Has anyone told you that YOU ARE ALREADY IN THAT HEAVEN? all you need to do is practice the art of observation to increase your awareness to realise THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO ACHIEVE. THERE IS NOTHING TO OBTAIN, because you ARE ALREADY THERE… you just need to be aware of it.
and then when you come back… only if you absolutely have to - switch that cellphone back on : Not to tell someone you care about it - but to meet with them someplace wonderful and inspirational so that you can tell them and share in person.
IT’S ALWAYS THE RIGHT TIME.
Spread some good Karma… just a second… My phone is ringing.
(always keep a good sense of humourJJJJ)

i even find it annoying when people check their cell phones during a movie!!!
hate it when the light distracts my concentration
Meditation plays a big part in my life. If it wasn’t for meditation i wouldn’t be able to switch off at all.
Ones intuition can also be heightened and developed through meditation. When your karma is peaceful and balanced, then your intuition is more alert and your karma can be balanced more easily.
Intuition plays a much bigger part in ones life than most people are aware off. So switching off through methods such as meditation is absolutely vital when it comes to ones daily life and overal wellbeing.
Modern lifestyle including cell phone activity, email, internet etc… causes great stress to ones karma. And the dependency on this lifestyle is growing rapidly!
Sometimes the ffects of this lifestyle is realised when it’s too late.
Taking time out, just 30 minutes a day, is vital. The results will be seen immediately and will continue for as long as you allow it too
This is definitely true - that is why today it is common to hear “i should have followed my intuition” this is because most people are so out of touch with themselves that they seek affirmation and confirmation from external sources, often saying “what would you do in my place”.
The answer is obvious - that person would do what they would do which is not what you would do because they ARE NOT YOU.
Mater the art of OBSERVATION. Observe your tendencies. Become AWARE.
what did we used to do when there were no cell phones…sometimes we need to get back to those days and just take a minute to enjoy life…
We need to also realise that our lives do not stop when we switch our cell phones off…
“Like water which can clearly mirror the sky and the trees only so long as its surface is undisturbed, the mind can only reflect the the true image of the Self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed.” Indra Devi
the belief that heaven is after this life creates hell here
Eran! Thank you for saying this! We need to stop complaining about the noise we create and beget and surround ourselves with, and listen to the silence. It’s the most beautiful symphony.
xx

yes because that silence is actually you in harmony with the universes and multiverses. Existenzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz….
i find the best way to truly see the beauty that surrounds us is by lookin though a camera lense. I have the raddest old school film camera, a canon AV1. and looking through the lense is such a treat, it makes you focus on a specific area and then pick out the beauty in the colours, surrondings and textures. it always reminds me how much we miss out in our everyday busy lives.
people need to be reminded to look and appreciate.
what a refreshing blogg, thanx baie eran
Thanks Sheena!
Of course the best camera is you. Very high in megapixels. Fantastic for the photographer’s diet, you know.
The wonderful thing about you - or anyone as a camera - is that you can learn the skill of seeing things like that eventually without using a camera - but also remember how you feel at that moment - the scent in the air - the feeling of the elements around and within you. The moon or sun. The happiness in your heart.
Then again, it is fantastic to look at a photo and feel all of these bubble to the surface:)
Just a small contribution… but don’t feel guilty or wierd if you want to simply stop, look and appreciate. If you’re on your way somewhere and you see something gorgeous (provided you have a few minutes to spare), stop and enjoy. If you get a great idea, stop and enjoy… and then expand on it!
We lose out so much when we think that stopping and appreciating is for romantics or kids. We lose out so much when we think that stopping, appreciating and expanding our own ideas is only for novelists, entreprenuers or the very wealthy.
‘Great’ people weren’t born that way - they were the ‘you and I’ who stopped, appreciated and expanded. There are remarkable things inside all of us… humour yourself sometimes and you’d be pleasantly suprised:-)
By the way, that video’s hilarious!
