Blame is a manga that hurts.
This pretty much sums up what this manga is all about.
You get different kinds of manga for different kinds of readers, some people like to have a laugh or get all weepy with relationship related manga. Blame falls under the group that caters for older teens to adults, usually with more heavy, dark or serious subject matter, the Japanese call it “seinen”.
Blame is the story of Killy an enigmatic character who travels through a vast futuristic city in search of pure human genes that can access the “net”.
The world he travels through is hard to describe, it actually can’t really be described as a city, because the sheer size of the structures is just beyond any mega-super-metropolis imaginable…it’s more accurately a “landscape of tech”.
As the reader you never know if it’s far in the future on Earth, another planet or a structure floating in space.
Killy seems like a normal human at first, but in reality he’s a hardcore unstoppable techno organic being…and when I say he can take a hit I mean it, I’ve seen him fall hundreds of floors through flaming debris and leave a small crater where he crashes and then get up and walk away.
He gets thrown and blasted through walls by massive killing
machines, only to fly back at them and teach them more than just a small lesson. You see, Killy has a weapon that defies comprehension, it’s called a graviton emitter...it looks exactly like a normal handgun, but blasts through anything over a distance of say…oooh about 70 kilometres….yikes now that’s a weapon.
This manga is not for wimps or people afraid of a little violence…this is one for people with a huge imagination and interest in sci-fi to match, it’s not a simple comic, it has brains and a penchant for making you gasp in absolute horror…my kinda manga.

Yeah man - as much as I love Naruto or a good Miyazake Anime or Manga, a good hardcore action/sci-fi is a total jawl!
The drawings look pretty intense and insane - obviously reflecting the atmosphere that the writer/artist wants to set.
Nice gun! - I wonder who will stand up to Killy in Blame if he is so darn powerful - can’t wait to check it out - thanks Duncs!!! u are the instant Manga reference book for sure - totally comprehensive and up to date!!!
Why thanks dude, I try keep my ear to the ground when it comes to awesome manga of merit. I will undoubtedly keep it coming.
Yeah Killy is powerful, but dude some of the enemies are also “ridiculous”. Its a must read.
