Sushi is totally Big in Japan

babbleBig in Japaninterestingvideo

Oh YESSSS We all love sushi and know it’s TOTALLY BIG IN JAPAN – the thing is that sushi is big EVERYWHERE!!! Let’s face it – Sushi rocks!!!

There are such cool places to get sushi – and some equally rotten ones as well!!!

Oy vey!!! I went to this one place in Cape Town once… warm sushi IS SUPER DODGEY!!! – that is ALL I am going to say.

In Durbs, you should check out Green Mango’s sushi in 9th Avenue at the back of Avondale centre. Roger – a super cool bro – makes KILLER sushi there and it’s quite reasonably priced as well. Mmmmmm… – Damn – gotta watch out there : note to self : drooling for sushi is NOT BIG IN JAPAN and it’s not cool for my keyboard either!!! – also : check out their RED DUCK CURRY – it is OFF THE WALL!!! – it’s also off the menu (as in not on the menu ;) ) – for real – it’s amazing : remember to ask for sticky rice with it and that your duck should be crispy. Oh man. Stop me drooling already!!! Eish.

Seriously though – there is nothing tastier than some excellent sushi – except some more of it – but the other thing that is truly big in Japan is the attention to detail and etiquette. I know that etiquette is a very big thing to lovers of Japan and that it’s a bit of a big Japanese mystery to us westerners… so I hope this video helps you to get to grips with this aspect of Japanese sushi culture

Superhero Movies are coming in 2008 : Bring on Hancock

YOWZA!!!

2008 is dik-full of cool Superhero movies this year in 2008.

I absolutely LOVE Superhero movies!!! – Looks like there are some really awesome and entertaining movies about classic superheroes coming this year…

Amongst these are 3 to REALLY watch out for (of course there is the customary AWESOME series HEROES as well which has been green lighted for more episodes during 2008 and 2009 – YAAATTTTAI!!!).

Those movies will be : IRON MAN, THE DARK NIGHT (the next Batman starring the Joker) and HANCOCK.

HANCOCK you say???

Yup! Hancock! It stars Will Smith as an unlikely hero – more of an Anti-hero i guess ‘cause he is really sort of irresponsible with his powers and has absolutely no finesse. I ain’t talkin’ bout some lack of a gentle touch here – we are talking about a superstrong invulnerable flying mo-fo who sweeps across the Earth with no care and no control. So when he flies around, he just smashes through anything and everything, and when he lands he just blasts into the pavement leaving HUGE gashes in the road.

Hell, when he takes off – The freaking earth EXPLODES around Hancock!!! (yes, Hancock is kind of a Porn name, Mark).

Really crazy stuff – but it goes back to the Ol’ saying : With great power comes Great Responsibility… and this boy needs to get down with some of that action.

Sounds like a bit of a let down, huh? … the whole “great responsibility” line – but think about it this way (just a quick message to other super dudes out there) : imagine how many people’s lives you can change and inspire by showing them that superheroes have all this amazing ability, but exercise it with care and compassion for all sentient beings everywhere.

Now that’s a superhero power most people need to get in their lives – SUPER compassion and SUPER loving for all sentient and non-sentient beings. Bring it on!

One of the thing I LOVE about eSquared tshirts is that they are TOTALLY superhero!!!

2BOP All you Get Street Fighter

I remember the good ol’ days when nothing mattered but passing a few silly little class tests and getting enough pocket money to go and play my favourite games at the arcade.
Ahhh the simple life was great, the beach and video games were my life…I didn’t even really care about girls at that stage….after all how could any girl compare to Chun Li from Street Fighter2, she could do spinning kicks upside down in mid-air….it was love at first fight LOL.

2BOP once again gets my nostalgic juices flowing with another insane KO retro design called: All you Get.
Ok so if you are into gaming at all you will know at least a little about Street Fighter, it’s been around for ages and I’ve been hooked ever since. First came Street Fighter 1 and let me tell you it wasn’t pretty, although at that stage of graphic development I didn’t notice, on top of that, you could only play as 1 character (Ryu) as he battled across the world against varied opponents. If a second player put in some coins to challenge you he would be Ryu’s sparring partner Ken….and if you won with Ken you could use him all the way until the end of the game. So 2 characters really hahaha.

All you Get is actually a play on words from one of Ryu and Ken’s special moves.
This special move is called the
shoryuken and is an extremely powerful flying uppercut, being an english speaking kid from Durban, I never thought that they might actually be talking in Japanese…which they we’re. To me it sounded like “All you Can, or Oh you Can”…obviously 2BOP was in a similar position as me and he heard “All you Get”…which I think is absolutely hilarious.

One thing’s for sure. I’m loving this design and can’t wait for the next round of 2BOP gear.
But until then let me leave you with another Ryu special….
