SA Navy Dogs

Last weekend was absolutely out of this world. The annual  SA Navy Festival took place and wowed a huge crowd with all the latest weaponry and amazing machines that our proud Navy has at its disposal.Ok look I’m in no way a lover of war, in fact I wish people would all just stop fighting and get along for once. However we can still marvel at these machines from a technological standpoint. The German navy also attended the festival, it’s become tradition for foreign naval groups to participate in our own South African naval maneuvers and it goes a long way to secure a friendly co-existence between powers.

The BIG JAPANESE art of Chopsticks – Hashi

Big in JapanBlogrollinterestingvideo

How to eat with chopsticksChopsticks – why o why are they called Chopsticks?

Could it be that they are only used for eating chops? Are they only used by chops? What is their relation to Mutton Chops (the doo – not the chow) and if they are related to Mutton Chops, why was Elvis not a huge addict?

Perhaps it’s named after the musical piece “Chopsticks”!

Well could it be that they came together as a set and one had to “chop” the set of sticks in half? Far more likely a scenario!

Well the answer is no on all accounts. So why are Chopsticks so big in Japan? Why are they called Chopsticks?

Now this is the part of the night that really rocked my socks, phew what a banging party!!!

At eSquared we love hooking up our peeps with awesome competitions and this last week was no exception. Lauren Brouwer and Kimmon Bekker both won themselves a set of double tickets for the digital Graffiti party at Tilt on Friday night. Well done to both of you, im sure you had an absolute jam!

I have never seen such a cool crowd at the house of love, everyone was looking super slick…during the course of the night I must have seen at least eight funky cats wearing eSquared gear.however, what was even better was that Funky G, Coco Loco and Clint Lee, the three biggest DJ’s on the scene were all wearing eSquared shirts. Nice one guys!

Goldfish,Coco Loco and the boys…part 1

interesting

Howdy ho my fellow eSquaredians…hope you all had a good weekend, because man did I boogie to that beat!!!

My Friday night started off with Goldfish playing at Jo kools. Now I’m not a big fan of this joint, the place is over run with jocks. Jocks plus blue equal’s trouble. Ok, I promise that is the last time I talk in the third person this year. Anyway, Goldfish absolutely turned that place upside down. The crowd of pink lacoste wearing loons went absolutely mental. I think their eyes were opened and a few of them realised Justin Timberlake isn’t the only musician out there. The set that Dom and Dave pulled out was not the best I have seen by them, but if you compare it to that ‘put your hands up for Detroit” rubbish that the local DJ plays it was amazing. Well done guys, you are pulling in fans at a rapid rate…go Goldfish go!!!

Here is the downer of the evening. The entrance fee was excessive. R80 for entry to Jo kools, I would rather go and buy four chip and cheese rhoti’s from Johnny’s. There were way too many people in the club. It got to that point in the night where you just could not move. Not my scene at all

So after hearing some good tunes, it was time for me to gather up my crew and head off to the house of love…and boy did things get filthy…..
