Mugabe’s race card.

inflationhell

Well the insanity continues.

Last week I wrote a few blogs about the madness that is the Zimbabwe elections.
There’s honestly so much I can say at the moment, there’s a never ending stream of updates and particulars about the run-off, or perhaps the Zimbabwean courts delaying the result release, yet again.
I suppose it’s all become much of a muchness at the moment, are we becoming desensitized to the situation over there.

Was scoping out News24 this morning and came across the story about Mugabepulling the race card”.
Really this guy just has to try cause more trouble, he’s sitting there an obvious loser and he knows it.
So what do you do when you know that your reign of power is slipping, I know, try and cause social unrest between the racial groups, what a low life

Goldfish: Perceptions Of Pacha

goldfish-pacha.jpgSometimes it just feels so damn good to be South African. Right now I am feeling flipping proud and it is down to two local boys, Dom and Dave of Goldfish.

The fishies have just signed up to the second biggest house label in the world, Pacha Music. Go boys! Every year Pacha gets one of their artists to do an album with the Pacha name in it. This year the guys from Goldfish were given the huge honour of doing it.

I was given a few sample tracks to listen through last month and I was impressed. I got given their full album and I was blown away. Perceptions of Pacha is the follow on from Caught in the loop and I can’t do this album any justice. It speaks for itself, just give it a listen and you will be left with a big smile and a happy heart. Perceptions of Pacha is much more jazzy than caught in the loop…its music than just makes you want to get up and party. These two boys have got it so right. The album launch at Kirstenbosch gardens in Cape Town was amazing. A crowd of over 8000 people gathered to see these cats whip through their album launch. Something that has never happened here before. Dom and Dave have such a huge following, a steady troop of goldfish soldiers follow them all across South Africa. But South Africa isn’t the only country that Goldfish have played. They are currently jetting around the world playing at all the hottest spots.

For those of you out there who have not heard the sound of Goldfish, get off your butt and go check them out.

Graphic Playground Dragon & Knight

dragonknight

So, Monday descends upon us once again and as usual it’s a painful process.

Talking about painful, you really have to check out our t-shirt of the day, this is one hilarious design that looks sweet but on closer inspection is pretty damn evil.
Let’s scope out Graphic Playgrounds’s nasty little design Dragon & Knight.

So a fearsome dragon swoops down on the Royal household and nabs the princess whilst roasting half the king’s men. Yep, its business as usual in Fairy Tale Land.
Every second week a princess is kidnapped by some fire breathing monster and some fearless warrior is hired to go and save her. It’s what legends are made of.
The knight rides off on his shining white horse in the name of justice and all that is “good”, these guys probably have cleaner cheeks than the princesses they ride off to save.
