Rocky Head in the Clouds

headintheclouds

Ello there everybody.

Todays Tshirt of the Day is an absolutely wonderful “natural” design from Rocky.
We call it “Head in the Clouds”…for obvious reasons.
Ever get the feeling that you are lost within your own mind, soaring high above everyone and everything?
This Rocky design is all about that feeling and more.

Head in the Clouds is such a free and “out there” design.
I get lost in the clouds of my mind almost every day, I’m a dreamer of note…every time I close my eyes I slip into a fantastical world of magic and mystery…I guess because I write so much fantasy and horror it effects my thoughts.
Its really fun living with a world like that in your head, because every now and then the two worlds intersect…just how it appears in the Head in the Clouds design.
When I walk down the street I don’t see an old man standing on the corner reading his paper…I see a venerable wizard revising a spell before he attends the Kings court.
The policeman that drives by on his motor bike turns into a gallant knight trotting down a market lane, protecting the innocent, smiting the wicked.
Best of all I come home to my castle every night where my very own princess awaits.

I really feel sorry for those who s attached themselves so strongly to the real, we have to make our own magic and shape our own dreams, without imagination we might as well be robots.
Head in the Clouds is a design that is close to my heart and makes me appreciate the drawing board of dreams and laboratory of imagination that much more.

It’s a fantastic design, well composed and thought provoking.

Awesome Art by Jarvi

Hello All.

Today you are in for a real treat.
We have known about a fantastic artist for quite some time now and we think it’s about time we do a write up about this stellar dude and his jaw dropping art.
We recently had some of his artwork up in the store and the public went crazy for them.
We can’t wait to feature more of his pieces in store very soon.
Without further delay, here’s Jarvi.

Jarvi has been an artist for as long as he can remember. He says the first prize he ever won for his art was back in class 1 (grade 1) when the entire school (up to grade 7) had an art competition, he flattened the entire school scooping the prize and no doubt fuelling his artistic passion even more.

Jarvi’s style of art is mixed media as he’s never satisfied, his style is constantly evolving he doesn’t like to limit himself. The paintings of the ladies that are shown here are done with a mix of acrylic paint and a kind of “polyfiller” paste for texture. Ultra cool designs indeed.
