Did somebody say free tickets?
As you all know we love hooking up our loyal peeps with killer clothing specials and free tickets to the hottest events.This week is no different. Through the kindness of artist Wilma Cruise, the eSquared Durban crew have10 tickets give away for her solo show at the Kizo Art Gallery.
Kizo is more than just an art gallery. They have made what is probably the largest private investment in the KZN arts industry to date in the form of the 700 sq m Kizo Art Gallery at Gateway and have raised in excess of R500 000 for various charities in the last three years. In the last two and a half years Kizo has organized over 20 exhibitions at the top décor shows throughout South Africa, hosted 18 exhibitions at Kizo Ballito and organized exhibitions in Switzerland, India and The United Kingdom amongst others. Quite impressive.
Wilma Cruise’s solo show titled “Cocks, Asses &” between the 19th June and the 28th of July 2008. Wilma’s exhibition includes numerous ceramic sculptures, some exceeding 3m’s in height and Kizo’s large industrial space provides the perfect backdrop for this important body of work. The exhibition will also feature various paintings, and prints providing the public with the opportunity to acquire works by one of South Africa’s most spoken about contemporary talents at a reasonable cost.

If I look at this screen for a minute longer or if the manager drops another late report on my desk…I’m gonna SNAP.
Surely there are millions of people around the world who think thoughts like this every day.
I used to work in an office and let me tell you…its soul destroying.
Haven’t you ever heard the expression: “This isn’t work…its hell with fluorescent Lighting”.
Offices just breed hate and agitation.
I honestly feel sorry for all those poor people who are stacked in next to each other like sardines.
Every now and then…somethings gotta give.
The thing that usually gives first is the part of your brain related to self control or suppression of anger. At first it starts with mumbling and light cursing, followed by softly punching your computer screen and cubicle wall…at this stage the stress is boiling so strongly that anything will set you off and all hell breaks loose.
It’s at this stage that you need to take a breather and do whatever you can to unwind.

Greetings one and all.
Todays Tshirt of the day is brought to us by the very brilliant Hoochiemamma and is nothing short of brilliant, this one is called Whoa Nelly.
Supposedly this design came to Hoochiemamma one day as she sat doodling and by the end was like hey…thats pretty cool.
I have to agree, this is one seriously rad design.
I think what I like most about the design is that it’s abstract but at the same time keeps its form and flowing movement, so often you get “flowing” designs that somehow end up lost in translation and too busy.
I think the balance works very well here.
