Have you voted for Springleap July?

eSquaredspringleap

Hi there gang.

Another month has come and gone already and it’s now time to crown the winners of the July Springleap competition.

The designs were brilliant as usual and the race for the overall winner was fiercely contested.
What’s important is that this month we saw even more truly original design than ever before.
More and more people are hearing about Springleap and getting interested…which means more competition for all the artists and a more interesting race to the finish.

Whether you have been rooting for the cutesy character designs or the more hardcore message driven work…I’m sure there will be something for everybody.
Have you voted yet?

If you have still not voted as yet head on over to Springleap.com and get voting before it’s too late…you only have until the end of today to do so.
Show these awesome designers that you support their work and do what you need to do.
It honestly doesn’t take long to vote for all the designs and in the final analysis will help you get the designs you really dig here in eSquared.

Support the cause :D

Duncs.

Simon – How long was a piece of string?

Just how long was a piece of string?
The age old question has been revamped and pimped by one of our favourite Springleap regulars Simon.
The question as you probably know, is an old quirky rhetoric that requires no answer.
How long was a piece of string?….who knows.

Simon is well known for his funny designs that are thought provoking and also damn cute…his latest submissions to the compo have followed suit and had many of us here at Springleap chuckling.
You must definitely check out his new submissions, CMY… and Vitamin A , if you haven’t already done so.
Remember today is the final day to vote so if you like his new designs show some love and vote.

So what did Simon have to say about his own design?!
Well, here’s a quick look at what he said on the Springleap site itself:
“How long is a piece of string?
“Double the length from the middle to one end…” String seems almost as if it were a thing of the past. I certainly haven’t used string for a very long time.”
“When last did you hug your string?”

Survivor: Fiji

Run, jump, swim, rant, swear, cry, irritate.
For all of you TV fanatics out there I’m sure you are all well aware that the new series of Survivor started last night on SABC 3.

Survivor for me has always been a bit of a love hate relationship…I love watching people compete against each other and also to see how peoples allegiances shift and as for the hate…well let’s just say these producers can really choose some unlikable people…but hey that’s all for the ratings.
So what’s new and what’s cool with the new Survivor: Fiji?
Let’s take a look shall we.

First off I was surprised that all of the survivors were set adrift together, usually the teams are split from the get go and they head for their various camps.
However this time they all arrived on the same beach and after getting an air dropped message they all started working on one huge luxury shelter.
Why luxury? Well in days gone by survivors usually started with nothing but a machete, but this time they had a huge supply of materials from, pre cut wooden planks, nails, hammers, digging tools….even a frigging toilet seat.
Obviously we and the survivors know that the producers of Survivor are absolute bastards and were waiting for a cruel twist…things were just too easy.
They were right.

Mollyjey – Forest in my mind

Greeting all.

Living in the city has its perks…you can go party anytime, go watch a movie and of course have high speed internet…but are such modern luxuries tainting our perception of what is important? Are we missing out on things that we as humans really need?
That certain something I’m talking about in contact with nature.
Todays Tshirt of the Day by Mollyjey is a nature inspired design that pushes all the right “back to basics” buttons…this one is called Forest in my mind.

Forest in my mind is firstly an ultra striking design that uses natural elements along with simplistic design.
The simplicity of the design undoubtedly adds to the overall feel of the image….nature is simple, whether it be in its beauty or brutality…but simple nonetheless.
The colours of the design and shirt itself are all complimentary and strike a perfect balance that is very feng shui in my opinion.
