Smoke marijuana before your flight????

Airports suck….no doubts there, the act of cramming into a busy building surrounded by coughing and sniffing strangers really isn’t my idea of a “good time”…not only that but the airport itself is fraught with incidents that make you want to pull your hair out whilst screaming.
Just ask our fearless leader
Eric who was unfortunate enough to be at Durban airport recently when the bad weather caused a plane to go off the runway…hectic stuff…the chaos that ensued after that must have been diabolical.

People get pissed off in airports ultra quickly, it’s like the traffic department…you just know that you will lose your temper and strangle an attendant at any moment if you let your guard down.
Airline staff and security personnel aren’t always the best comforters either, at times they can be downright rude and just try to make your life difficult.
In airports I always “try my best” to keep a
smile on my face and have a positive happy attitude…not always easy, like the one time they lost my bags on a flight to Durban…yes I did throw my toys…and yes they returned my bags the same day. LOL.

Some airports are no doubt better than others, Durban airport is notorious for “issues”.
In Denver USA the pro
marijuana group SAFER (Safer Alternative For Enjoyable Recreation) is trying to get the local law changed so that people can smoke a joint before takeoff (very punny I know) to alleviate stress and anger problems.
The situation has gotten so bad with aggression at Denver airport that just last week a woman became “so belligerent that she broke through her plastic handcuffs and punched a flight attendant in the face.” He insisted: “This madness has got to stop. And we’re providing a very viable solution.”
That’s some crazy stuff, I can understand why they are so adamant to get these psychos puffing away at the ol Giggly Twig before takeoff.

Ok so it’s not an age old idea, every Jamaican and his dog wants the marijuana bill to be amended so that adults can have their own private “stash” for home use.
SAFER has long been a supporter of marijuana saying that it is far less detrimental to society as a whole than
alcohol.
They go further by saying
marijuana alleviates anxiety for people who are afraid to fly and that passengers could use pot in the smoking lounges at the airport as a safer alternative to alcohol”.

Drinking is most certainly a part of the problem,
booze makes people do silly things, which is why there are most probably dodgy pics of all of us on Facebook.
Who’s to say what is right and what is better in the long run, but with the
aggression and madness at airports on the rise should airports and government groups start playing with the idea of doping troublesome passengers.
This is a tough one indeed…flying high high?!…maybe this is an extreme measure…perhaps there should be harsher
criminal punishment for troublemakers….in effect serving as a better deterrent for those of us who like to get trashed and cause mischief.

What do you all think? If you were the powers that be, would you let passengers smoke mountain cabbage before they climbed onto a million dollar aircraft….hmmmmm. *ponder ponder*

Duncs.

Holy moley guacamole. Gas me quick.

Yeah - serve less alcohol on the flights and gas the passengers with some Mary Jane I say. Make it medical grade marijuana, I say. After all - the doctor has prescribed this as Rex Morgan’s cure for the fluttertime booze. ;)

Ever heard of 2 drunks slugging it out?

Ever heard of 2 stoners slugging it out?

hmmmmmmm…. I think that this is a clear case of a set of fists as opposed to a set of snails :)
