Gimetzco - Be Somebody

be somebody

Hi there guys and girls.

Todays Tshirt of the Day by Gimetzco is called Be Somebody and is drenched with a humorous take on the whole shrink & patient relationship.

Stressed, experiencing sudden bursts of anger or depression triggered by Oprah episodes? “Tell me about your mother”…that’s what some shrinks would ask you I guess haha.
Yep psychiatrists claim to fix your brain and turn you into better human beings, whether it works or not depends on the patient I guess.

To tell you the truth the first thing that drew me to this design was not the clever meaning behind it, but the actual cartoon shrink riding the dragon…I think it’s absolutely kick bum.
The clever play on the psychiatrist and his patient is just an extra for me…I suppose this design means different things to different people.
For me personally the Be Somebody design makes fun of psychiatrists who think they have the answer to figure anybody out and fix their scrambled egg brains.

Humans are all different and have backgrounds that are just as diverse…the fact that you can take a book and diagnose a person by looking in the index FREAKS me out.
Look I don’t wanna take anything away from the profession, but I think in many cases all that’s required is that they talk to the person and listen…that’s all that people want right?!
To be heard and have somebody actually care…it’s a human necessity, like drinking water and breathing.

So what does this cartoon say to you personally? Or do you need to phone your mom to ask what she thinks first LOL.
Fantastic work GimetzcoBe Somebody is a cut above the rest.

Duncs.
