Hello one and all.
Todays Tshirt of the day is one that I’ve been meaning to talk about for ages.
Some of you will undoubtedly remember the brilliant design called The Itch from local Capetonian design guru Simon.
This time he brings us more of his simplistic yet perfectly balanced design magic with the highly popular, How long is a piece of string?
While the simple elements of this design may be very different from the other more flamboyant designs that are submitted on the Springleap site, what it lacks in busyness it more than makes up with in terms of creativity and execution.
How long is a piece of string is a design that takes the black canvas of the shirt and makes it jump right out at you with well positioned and carefully selected colour tones.
So many people that have come into the store and seen this design have fallen instantly in love with the clever idea and brilliant delivery.
How long was a piece of string really?
Well your guess is as good as mine in this case J
Simon actually got the idea for this design when he pondered over the last time he actually used string for anything…indeed he couldn’t even remember the last time.
Personally it’s been eons for me, when I was a kid I used it for crafts and stuff like that…but in this busy world of work work work there is no time to think about the humble string, let alone use it for anything right in front of us…how easy life would be if you could solve a computer crash by whipping out some string and tying all the bad sectors up…lickety split.
So how long was a piece of string to Simon himself, he says, “Double the length from the middle to one end.”
Hahaha nice one man…indeed that is a very accurate but equally frustrating answer ![]()
How about all u members out there….how long was a piece of string to u???
I’m just going to smile and nod my head in a serious manner….makes it look like I know the true answer…*cough cough*
Have a super weekend everyone and oh if you haven’t seen Simons NEW submission for this month click HERE.
Duncs.
