Hi there all.
It’s a wonderful day (thus far), the sun is shining and the turtle is coming along splendidly.
I have attached a pretty up to date version of what’s been done so far.
It’s amazing how just a few lines here and there and a layer or two of paint can really make something take on a whole new form.
Yesterday Jade said that the design almost looked like it’s going to jump off the wall it was so real…today it’s even better.
Every time I walk past the turtle I worry that it’s going to try and bite my leg…shooo, scary snapping turtles aiiieeee
So what next with the Rocket Turtle?
Well, now that the turtle itself is pretty much done and needs only a few minor enhancements, it means it’s time to finish his rocket…which could prove to be quite a headache with this design.
I’m sure you will all be familiar with my rants on the bumpy surface of the wall outside and how it’s difficult to paint on.
The most difficult thing about painting on this wall is doing straight lines and unfortunately the rocket in the design requires quite a bit of accuracy in this department.
Dave has just come inside to arm himself with a small straight piece of wood to aid him in his “search for straightness”, which traditionally is a normal Sea Point practice LOL.
Has anybody given any thought to the problem of the next design?
I asked what suggestions, or what designs you would like us to do on the wall next.
Even though Bamboozle did not work on the other side we are toying with the idea of still using it….but how to pull it off, hmmmm…we are still stuck on that one.
If anybody has some bright ideas, please let me know.
*high fives all around*
Duncs.
