Our resident painter has to deal with constant camera flashes and screaming fan girls….lol.
Well not quite yet, but maybe one of these days soon.
David has become quite well known in the area for his painting and bubbly attitude…which invokes an endless stream of admirers with lists of questions.
Davids constant painting of the outside mural here in Sea Point more often than not draws a crowd and attracts people to the store…which is all cool with me, because people that would not normally stop and take a pause from their busy lives to check out our awesome t-shirts, now have extra incentive to get curious.
Unfortunately David has to put up with quite a few dodgy character as well….I imagine it will only get worse as season come into full swing.
What dodgy people u may ask? Well mostly hobo’s and drunks really.
The drunks engage and talk to David as if he is a long lost friend….GAH it sucks so much bloody time…its just question after question.
David reckons he should put up a sign that says something like “Artist at work, do not disturb” LOL…maybe not such a bad idea
The other day we had some hobo outside and when Dave was inside he was telling everybody that came past that he had done the paintings ROFL.
Most people just steered clear of him but when he told one woman, she stopped, looked at the wall and said “thats DAMN good”….and then turned and walked away
Yep there are some crazy people here in Sea Point and it can be frustrating when a million people ask David the same darn questions over and over, whilst keeping him from his work.
But in the end what can you do, it’s difficult to not be rude when you calmly tell somebody to “go away, I’m busy”.
Maybe I should look into the sign then haha.
Duncs.

For Sure - I mean EVERYone knows it was me who painted the walls…
NOT!
David’s work totally rocks
we chatted about what he has planned for the rest of the wall and it is going to be SICK!
Stay posted fanboys and gals!
