Cloud King

Hi there guys and girls.

One thing about working with Springleap.com is that your world suddenly becomes open to every avenue of design imaginable.
No matter where you go or who you speak to, design is lurking in your thoughts….waiting, assessing, pondering…suddenly it becomes part of a conversation that has nothing at all to do with the topic at hand.
I suppose one could say that design becomes a part of your very being… it’s the blood coursing through your veins.
Sounds like some kind of drug doesn’t it? Well maybe in some strange way it is.
Recently whilst surfing the net I came across quite a cool site called Cloud King which I think has quite a lot in common with Springleap.com

First things first, it’s not a t-shirt competition site…no sir, when I say that Cloud King has lots in common with us its more on a “kindred spirit” level.
You see, Cloud King is a portal of sorts…rather a proxy to amazing designers around the globe.
There is an extensive list of designers on Cloud King, from designers that are already well know, to up and coming young designers that are rearing to make their presence known.
Springleap.com and Cloud King both show the world an abundance of design might and give you the opportunity to link straight to their sites, or as in our case, buy some seriously cool t-shirts from the designer.

I have only just scratched the surface of the artists available on Cloud King, every time I go back I find another interesting design style with its own individual personality.
I wanted to give you a few examples of the kind of talent I saw there, but here is 1 or 2 links to some hot designs that caught my attention:

Nate Van Dyke is first on my list because…well because I think he is the best I have seen on Cloud King…so far.
Any guy who does work for Levi and EMI Records is a force to be reckoned with, however when I heard that he does work for Heavy Metal magazine (which I freaking LOVE) I was completely sold LoL.
Nate’s Box Turtle design is up there with Springleap.com’s Rocketurtle….I kid you not.

Lastly I need to mention a guy that goes by the name Scott Listfield.
Scott is one wacky dude, I really enjoy his paintings on Cloud King because they all have a similar trend…that is, every painting has an astronaut in it.
If you read the quick write up about Scott Listfield you will pick up that he’s been around the block and then some, working all over the damn place and having to even go back to another design school to become “employable”.
His painting have something about them that I just love and I hope that he gets his name out there in a big way in the future…astronauts indeed.
Check out his Times Square painting it’s my favourite ;)

Hopefully these 2 links will wet your appetites enough to make you pop on over to Cloud King and see what they have to offer.
I hope that these designers will take a look at Springleap.com and enter some of their brilliant work…they are definitely on a winnable level
J

Have a great one and remember to keep on keeping on.

Duncs.
