Harry Potter Deathly Hallows

Deathly Hallows

When will Harry Potter ever put away his broom? Or at least just use it for cleaning rather than chasing after airborne balls.
The Harry Potter franchise has been running for a damn long time and each time a movie comes out
Daniel Radcliffe looks more and more like he should be in university rather than still playing with school children.
However the wait is almost over, the date has been set for the final Harry Potter movie: Deathly Hallows: part 2.

While there are millions of people who are addicted to reading the now famous children’s novels by J.K. Rowling, I am one of those people who would rather wait for the movie to come out than actually read through these novels.
Its not that I don’t like reading, in fact I’m a fantasy/sci-fi addict…it’s just I’m more interested in the likes of Gaiman, Gemmel, and Banks.
I would never try and take anything away from J.K. Rowling, in fact I applaud her for reigniting the fire of fantasy in children all over the world.
It seemed like the age of magic was slowly slipping away from our little ones, but now there is hope, so three cheers for the Harry Potter series and its illustrious author.

As many of you will already know the next movie in the Harry Potter franchise entitled: The Half-bloodPrince will be released to fidgeting audiences in July 2009, so not much waiting left for that one.
The final book however is over 600 pages long, so it would be absolutely impossible to do the story justice by trying to stuff it into one long ass movie.
So the Warner suits have decided it best to split the final book Deathly Hallows into two, hopefully very long, parts.
Deathly Hallows: part 1 will be released on the 19th of November 2010 and Deathly Hallows: part 2 will be bringing it all to a climactic end from the 15 July 2011.

I suppose it’s a good thing for Warner to split the movie into two parts anyway, considering the power of this ultimate cash cow, they will be making a double blow of cash flow from the decision.
Honestly I’m happy to give them my money twice as long as they do the finale justice.

So, Harry Potters future has already been plotted out, but what next, will Harry turn to the dark side of the force and become a TV series *puke*, or maybe J.K. Rowling will decide she needs even more money than the Queen (if she doesn’t already) and make a university or grown up version of Harry Potter…it wouldn’t surprise me even in the least.
Look at movies like Transformers and the upcoming GI Joe movie, the chemistry works and becomes an inescapable black hole that will pull “true believers” back even after 20 years…it’s a Turn of the screws for the movie business.

Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows…here we come :D

Duncs.
