Cape Town International Jazz Festival


Greeting all you music lovers out there.

So in 8 days time the Cape Town International Jazz festival will be back and better than ever.
Over the past 9 years the festival has grown in leaps and bounds attracting a crowd over more than 32 000 people….now that is a staggering amount of people.
I guess that is why they call the Cape Town Jazz Festival the most prestigious event on African soil

Africa’s grandest gathering, which is another name for the festival, will be kicking off on Friday 03 and Saturday 04 April 2009.
The festival will be held inside the International Convention Centre and will comprise of 5 separate stages and will have more than 40 artists from all over the world as well as the best of the best of the local South African jazz scene.
WoW, that is quite a spread of music.

Dear “His Holiness The Dalai Lama”


 

On behalf of all South Africans that feel the way I do about your denied visa I apologize for the impossible and endless ignorance of our government. Mr Ab Lincoln once said, “If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time”. I believe this to be very true in our unfortunate and possibly avoidable circumstance. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am certainly not fooled by our government’s excuse for your denial.
