Trends and notorious super stars has become the worlds real deciders for youth and transforms what is! However reaching your full potential is where the revolution begins.
It is clear that high school kids are bombarded with destructive entertainments and nowadays are more than ever pressured to conform to wicked trends. Lil Wayne is an example of destructive entertainments and seems to be the latest star at the moment. Most kids seem to be in love with his evil lyrics and rugged lustrous style. He is a menace to all kids and a terrible influence.
Back in the late 1900’s TuPac was the supreme icon and created the notorious ‘Thug Life’ and many still live by it. So thug life is described as when you have nothing and still manage to succeed overcoming all obstacles to reach your aim. This kinda sounds like something good but its not because the success which it speaks of is reaching success no matter what and by any means necessary. Pure Imagination however is success with no thunder clouds there to strike you down and your means to your achievements is totallly without causing harm to yourself or others.
I think the problem with kids is that they look at super stars as role models and mimic them- their dress, their styles, their ways and basically everything about them. All these super stars have credible and mesmerising gifts that seem to reach kids. Once the kids are deceived with such nonsense the world becomes a worse place.
Peer image is extremely important in schools and no one wants to be the kid outside the circle but if this means sacrificing your future I suggest you get out fast.
Tupac said ‘there is no heaven for a thug and there is no love for a thug’ and kids should start realizing this. All bad things lead to hell on earth and the only way to transform and make their lives better is by uplifting themselves and everything around them.
Currently there are many magnificent SA trends that uplifts youth and aims to nurture their talented side. There are many opportunities available and one that I was amazed by is the ‘Pure Imagination’ initiative by Springleap. So this approach is entirely the oppostite to wicked super stars and ‘Thug Life’ concepts, and is just as hip and notorious.
