Hi there guys and girls.
This one goes out to all the single ladies ROFL.
Please tell me you have all seen the brilliant new Vodacom advert on TV which features a South African actor doing a brilliantly performed rendition of Beyonce’s “All the single ladies” dance.
Dude I almost died laughing the first time it came on…seriously classic stuff.
However, while it is brilliantly done it also makes you want to cover your eyes in horror.
The reason I say horror is because the actor dresses in the dodgiest attire I have ever seen a guy. It’s what I’d expect amateur drag to look like…..ewwww gross ![]()
Perhaps the most disturbing thing about the way he dresses in the All the single ladies video, is the fact that I have actually seen men in “real life” dress like that. Holy cosmos there are some scary people out there, pulling off even scarier fashion DONTS. Ever been to Soho in London during the summer….eish the freaks certainly come out.
Vodacom has had a long tradition of cool TV adverts, well besides that frigging meerkat thing…that stunk to no ends. This new “All the single ladies” TV ad is however, beyond wicked cool.
I take my hat off to the actor who performed the moves, I’m ashamed to say I don’t even know his name…sorry buddy L, I will have to track it down. Well done, you kicked the ass out of this TV advert.
I honestly don’t think many actors would have the guts to even attempt something this spectacularly sordid.
The strange thing is I am not a fan of Beyonce’s music, but now because of the advert I can’t get the damn song out of my skull….I just sit here sporadically laughing at thin air.
I seriously hope that Vodacom get an award for this advert.
“All the single ladies” has been given a mega upgrade with a twist of local South African madness.
The sad thing is that the idea isn’t original. Justin Timberlake has supposedly done something very similar on Saturday Night Live.
So, keep your eyes peeled for Vodacom’s new “All the single ladies” advert, not only will it brighten up your day, but it will also make you realise that anybody has the potential to be a dance super star hahaha.
Duncs.

The single ladies advert restored my faith …. the ‘white boy’ got the moves. I must say he did it better than BEYONCE. The advert is the best that Vodacom have ever made!!!!
Where can i download the ad?
Man……my galfrnd n i went bananas on dis 1….tight to the agency that conceptualized it.
As fo Voda, another pompous Ad to stake the claim about who rules in the cell providers in Mzansi.
Ooooh Weee, cant touch this
I come from and Islamic background and we are not alowed to listen to such music but, after this add i promise you i’ll always watch and listen to this advert. It’s not good nor great but it’s absolutely brilliant. My baby is 1yr6mnths and even if she is fast asleep but when this ad comes on she is awake and dancing because she adore this add.Vodacom has got some outstanding ads and i love it.I’ve been using vodacom from the very day it came around and i never had any problems at all with regard to vodacom. They are simply the best and i hope they grow from strenght to strenght.I wouldn’t say keep up the good work i will say keep up the brilliant work.I will always and only support vodacom as it is the only network i adore.
God bless you
So Zahheda, you dont work for Vodacom do ya?
Awesome stuff!finally proof that white men CAN dance…think he does the moves even better than Beyonce (?!).i’m from somerset west, & recognized quite a few familiar places, specifically : Strand (1st beach/water scene with the blue -actually bronze- block of flats) & the V&A Waterfront (gold & silver mimes).South Africans are one of The Most Creative Nations in the world (especially the CT – yeah yeah i’m biased, LOL).
Did anyone pick up Michael de Pinha (the original Vodacom guy) in the ad? It’s brief, but he’s there.
Michael de Pinha. nope. watched it a few times, and didn’t spot that. where?
Hey guys I would love to download this ad on my mobile anyone know how I can??? Please help I am totally technically challenged…
Hi there Nirvana. Unfortunately I’m not super clued up myself. The best bet would probably be to go to http://www.zoopy.co.za
Otherwise try and use Download Helper, free software I believe. Once you manage to download it I’m sure it will be easy to get it across to your cell.
ha ha ha…im a not a big Beonce fan or vodacom for that matter but i salute the creative team they can walk tall sham…even that ad that made it in top 3 the old man i think the ad was brilliant…keep the creativity burning guys!!!!!!!!
WHAT IS HIS NAAAAME???? Awe!
I am in the United States of America.
I have not seen this advert. I am coming home in January but I would love to see it. I miss South Africa adverts. Could someone please post the link to it so I can see it…….
Man, I love that guy!! He is gorgeous! Those moves…honestly I scream like a mad woman when that ad comes on. I wish I knew more about him but from what I do know his name is apparently Asher but I cant find any info that confirms that. I saw him in another ad the other day…he looked a little more cleaned up:-)
