Brad Pitt for mayor?

Brad Pitt for mayor

Brad for Mayor????

Somewhere on the blogosphere I heard these words and my one eyebrow raised higher than it usually does.
Is it true, is Brad Pitt running for mayor? LOL of course not boys and girls.
This fun bit of rubbish actually started to spread from a simple t-shirt design.
Check this out!

So the company in question is called Storyville, which is based in the US. They sell online, but also have a few shops dotted around the States (Austin, New Orleans and Baton Rouge).
Basically it seems that Storyville create uniquely American themed t-shirts, so obviously quite a few of the designs went over my head…oh well, not surprising, local flavour is always a mystery to outsiders :P

The story of Brad Pitt running for New Orleans major has caused quite a stir. Obviously people who don’t know the American political in’s & out’s, have to a certain degree taken it as truth. The story was even discussed on a TV interview with the man himself.
These days you can never be certain who will become an American mayor/senator/president. After good old Arnold became a governor, I can believe anything LOL. Honestly if any of you have actually watched Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Pumping Iron movie you will know exactly what I’m talking about.

Brad Pitt is in many ways a much more worthy candidate for political office than Arnold. Brad has already set up serious initiatives to help the people of New Orleans rebuild their lives after Katrina blew through. Theres no doubt he’s a humanitarian, why not a mayor?
Well for starters he isn’t eligible to take part as he has not been living in New Orleans long enough to fulfil the criteria. But hey, with talk of his retirement looming, maybe he will take a more responsible role in the community.
Brad has laughed it off and said that he doesn’t have a chance. He joked around saying, “I’m running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalisation and taxation of marijuana platform“. HAHAHA hilarious.

Anyway, the Brad Pitt for mayor t-shirt has become extremely popular and are selling like hot cakes. Whats even better is that the founders of Storyville are donating $2 from every t-shirt sold to Brad Pitt’s Make it Right campaign. That is extremely generous, I’m sure Brad and the affected families will be over the moon.

So Brad Pitt for mayor may just be a joke, but it doesn’t stop us from wearing the t-shirt and spreading a bit of good will. Nice one guys and girls.

D.
