Greetings all.
So the hellish winter months have almost left us in peace. We eagerly await the arrival of spring and the wonderful burst of colour this season brings to our lives.
While I noticed that this winter many people tried their best to wear bright colours and try to offset the usual all consuming morbidity of winter oppression, the darker colours still prevailed and kept us all gloomy and staring at the ground.
However, spring is right around the corner and I have seen plenty of brave folks taking advantage of the brief glimpses of sun to show off their more luminescent wardrobe.
Fashion trends spring…here we come!
What can we expect this summer season from the numerous fashion houses who will jostle for our dosh?
Well the official colour for this spring is yellow….big surprise LOL. Honestly, if they had been more specific or chosen something slightly original I would have sat up and taken notice….but yellow? It has to be one of the most obvious spring/summer colours of all time. It’s like 90% of Ferraris you will see in your life, drumroll, its red…OMG its frigging reeeeeeed!
At any rate yellow it is. From acid yellow to smooth and chunky custard yellow, anything goes.
Fashion trends spring is certainly going to be one yellow submarine of an affair.
Its also seems a tad odd for yellow to be at the top of the list because it’s the most treacherous colour, other than white, when entering the warmer seasons when most of us are pale as ghosts. I always keep the yellows and whites at the back of my cupboard until my skin has recovered from the “great chill”. But hey, that is just my opinion, do as you will…good luck to you 
This season I have heard that there will be quite a bit of focus on matching different styles, especially as we move closer to summer, but spring will see its fair share. Expect girls in cowboy boots, soft flowing tops (yellow of course) and topped with trucker caps. It’s mixed match fashion, kinda like that fashion show game I mentioned the other day.
Pretty much the most horrendous style for the winter has to be this push for geometric prints which make women look like something out of a Picasso painting. I have seen numerous designs and every single one just looks like a cry for attention…or perhaps admission into the fashion asylum.
One style that I have loved on girls that I believe will feature this spring is harem pants. Yep you know the ones I’m talking about. Long flowy pants that are banded at the bottom. I don’t know why but I just dig these pants. I guess quite a few people are going to recoil from these pants because they are a tad out there. They may even make girls look like they are on their way to a belly dancing class LOL. Anyway I still think they are pretty cool and deserve a bit of attention….it’s nice to see a more middle eastern vibe coming through these days.
Fashion trends spring is certainly going to be diverse this year. Expect the usual bright colours, chunky tribal jewellery and plunging necklines. Damn I love spring!
