webcomics

Hi there friends.

For most of us comics are limited to what is available at our local comic stores and newsagents.
There is the new movement of comics that is based entirely online.
The internet is vast and becoming more and more accessible to the average Joe who wants to exhibit their creativity to a large audience.
There is the good the bad….and the downright ugly, when it comes to webcomics.
Let me give you a few examples of webcomics that rock…and of course a webcomic that should be outright removed for its pointless ugliness and pointless pointlessness.

Muse The Resistance

First comes happiness, followed by anticipation…then inevitably, frustration.
This is the story of the new Muse The Resistance.

For the past few weeks I have been on the edge of my seat, money in hand, waiting for the release of the killer new Muse album. As usual it seems that the more punctual international release date was missed down here in deep dark Africa. Will I have to wait until later today, tomorrow or next week.
I seem to be getting mixed signals about the release date from all over the place.
Muse The Resistance will of course be well worth the torment…I know that much is true ;)

For those of you who don’t know who the band Muse is, shame on you. They have been the best international band to come to South Africa in years. The last time they graced us with their amazing live performance energy was at The MyCoke Festival 2008.
Muse is an alternative rock band that hails from the chilly shores of Devon in England.
It’s difficult to describe their sound without playing some tracks for you, but in a nut shell its alternative rock mixed with electronic and even classical influences.
