Township Bling Top Picks

Yo peeps.

So the Township Bling theme competition is in full swing and the votes are flying in for the favourites.
I must say that there are quite a few cool designs that I dig for this theme comp. I have to admit that bling, hip hop and squatter camp-chic, isn’t exactly my cup of tea and I was sure that I would see absolutely nothing I liked.
However I was sorely wrong. Here are my top 3 designs for the Township Bling competition.

Firstly I’d have to pick the phashasha foshizi [fantastic for real] design by Caric, which is a blend of great colours, Arficanesque funk and a bit of local “taal”.
I consider this kind of design afro-funk, which as I said I don’t usually dig, however this design just works so well and I’m convinced that it will look epic on our t-shirts.
Even though this is one of my top picks, I wonder how well it will be received by the rest of the voters who usually go for the more intricate designs.
If this one makes the cut I will definitely put it on my wish list. Nice work Caric.

The Hard of Rock

Greetings one and all.

Now that the Springleap.com Township Bling theme competition is underway and it’s voting time for all the faithful leaping crew, I thought I’d let you know that the next theme competition has been announced and I must say it’s rather close to my heart :D
Its time for the ‘The Hard of Rock’ compo. ROCK OOOOOOOOON!

Thats right boys and girls it’s time to storm the mosh pit and give the voters a flying headbutt of design might.
Basically you can do just about anything, as long as it touched on the world of rock ‘n roll. There are seriously tons of things you can go for with The Hard of Rock theme. Every single one of us has had their life touched by rock music. Heck, even if you listen to Britney Spears and that Manna Hontana rubbish (which is NOT rock), I’m sure you will have an opinion on rock…even if it’s negative.
