Sleep Deprivation

Greetings friends.

First off let me just say wakey wakey!

Year end is upon us. Christmas decorations are hanging in the malls, exams are right around the corner and many businesses rush to make sure that everything is in order before they close.
It is the season of sleep deprivation!
I thought it may be a good idea just to remind people about the dangers of this, mostly, self induced end of year risk.

For the past few weeks I have started hearing really tragic cases, all linked to sleep deprivation and it’s no coincidence that it’s this time of the year. Students, like myself are in the midst, or are in the final stretch before end of year exams start…thus MEGA STRESS and late nights spend bent over our books and computer screens, trying our best to lock away important information. Let’s not kid around, exams are not easy and it takes serious discipline to walk out of an examination unscathed.
However students need to know that their health and lives are at risk when they torture themselves with excessive hours of study.

Taxi Wars

Hello and greetings one and all.

Yippeeee another awesome theme competition comes to a close and oooh boy was it a humdinger.
The very funky Township Bling theme competition was scooped by the mega local ‘n lekker design Taxi Wars by first time winner Grant (aka: Chucky). Well done bru!

The Township Bling competition called for artist to delve into the world of what they considered the glitzy side of township life. We had so many cool submissions that It was indeed a mammoth task deciding which designs were, in my opinion at least, the best of the best.
From the very beginning everybody was talking about Chucky’s Taxi Wars design. While I was not completely sold on the design at first, I have to say it grew on me very quickly.
Now I’m not exactly why it did, perhaps it had to do with the fact that I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but whatever the case I was actually pretty stoked when this one was announced.
