Hi there all you dance-dance machines.
As I mentioned a few days ago there are a very many trance parties coming up in the Spring/Summer season, but only a very are truly worth a mention. There are all the usual suspects like the previously mentioned Xmas Vortex and of course the amazing Organica party that will be held this weekend. However one festival that I would give my left toes to attend is undoubtedly the upcoming Mandala Project psychedelic trance party, which will be hosted by none other than Groovy Troopers and Timecode.
This is gonna be HUGE!
First up I must mention a few awesome facts. Not only is the Mandala Project party going to be nestled in a picturesque valley that has loads of lush green camping space and swimmable dam, but it is only a mere 30 minutes drive from Cape Town (Kuilsriver area). So yeah, you don’t have to travel a million miles away to where the Smurfs live and work and play.
The next thing that I have to mention is the line-up. Probably my favourite full-on trance gurus will be coming down from France to tear it up, they are Silicone Sound woooohooooo! This will be the first time I will have the opportunity to see them live. So yeah this makes me want to go out and buy a ticket asap.
The Timecode crew Principles of Flight will also be coming down from the land of the baguette to add a whole new dimension to the dance floor. It’s going to be one serious audio-pleasure-fest!
For whatever reason on the Groovy Troopers site they refer to Silicone Sound as the undisputed masters of French Daytime full-on. I’m not exactly sure why they are labelled as daytime spinners, I’d listen to these dudes any time of day. Principles of Flight will be on the other side of the spectrum and play the night time sets. Groovy Troopers call them the “top night time psyberneticists”.

Either way bring it on you guys. The South African psy-trance tribe is ready and waiting!
There will be two awesome dance floors with insane visuals which will make your eyeballs pop…not literally, but in a good way

The Mandala Project second dancefloor is the Viral Lounge, which will be pumping the best in progressive , electro, breakbeats and minimal tunes.

Spekta, Sintax, Plus Minus, Sadhu Sensi, Delphi, The Master, Strange Loop, Stolen Handbag, Organik Panik, Craigus Electrosekt, Strobel vs. Storm.
Guys and girls this part is going to be 2 days of serious psy-trance power.
At the moment there are a few select places selling early-bird tickets, but they are going seriously fast. The party officially starts on the Saturday, however if you have pre-paid tickets and are camping you can rock up on the Friday (13 November) afternoon at 15:00.
Otherwise gates open at 9:00 on Saturday (14 November).
