Paint paint blob blob…AWESOME!
In my previous post I mentioned how to start creating your very own hand painted sneakers. Of course some of you may be thinking, stuff that, I can’t even draw stick figure men…eish, how will I be able to paint funky unique shoes? Honestly I feel like there is an artist in every single one of us, that just needs to be prodded into wakefulness. Although, if you still doubt your own skills, there is always the option of buying a pair that has a custom job. Around these parts (SA) you may struggle to find awesome hand painted retro Plimsolls. But there is a killer custom art shoe company in England that specializes in this super duper fashion craze. They are called Kings of Neon.
Kings of Neon? Aren’t they a band? No silly head….that’s Kings of Leon 
These guys may not be a famous band adored by thousands of fans…but they sure as heck are equally as funky. If its funky old school retro sneakers and pumps, these are the dudes to talk to.
As I just mentioned Kings of Neon are over in the UK. Which is a bit of a bummer, considering payment. However, I believe they do accept Paypal transactions, which you can set up as long as you have a credit card. As for the actual process and how long it takes…I’m still trying to figure that one out. LoL.
The Kings of Neon site is actually bloody funny. The dudes in charge of the site layout seriously give it an eccentric quality. The odd-ball discourse really gives the site a friendly personality that is easy to warm up to. Although I suppose the ‘method in its madness’ is to make you feel secure enough to give them your money LOL…but hey, that is life in the fast lane.
Do yourself a favour and just read their “INFO” page. It’s totally scatty and needs to be read thoroughly, in order to make any sense of it.
Kings of Neon truly is a shoe company that is bringing the retro Plimsolls vibe with a vengeance. Truly wicked designs make for a happy customer and jubilant feet. These puppies will undoubtedly turn you into a dance floor genius, or a street stomping force to be reckoned with.
