True Design

True Design


…and now for something completely different.

True design! The words are kinds impotent if you think about it!
What in the world can we call true “true design”?
Does it mean the worth of a particular design, compared to a design of the same genre, or perhaps the professional level of the actual designer? This is without doubt a rather grey area in the design world.
How do you compare apples with apples?

In my own opinion it’s rather difficult to label an artist work as good or bad, based on your own opinions. If it was up to me all the winning designs on Springleap.com would be the most highly intricate submissions. You know, the designs that you look at and can just tell the designer sat in front of his computer for hours tweaking. While the design may be beautiful and super intricate, it does not mean it’s the best choice for a t-shirt competition.

The Wright Stuff theme competition is about all things aviation. If it’s in the air…then send it in.
While others may say that this design theme is pretty limited…I’d have to say that it’s about as broad as the wings on a 747. This competition is brimming with possibilities.
