Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age

Hi there all ya gamers.

It’s been yonks since I last did a blog about a video game. Indeed, these days I have very little time to delve into a good game. There are a handful of video games that I can truly not wait for. Top of the list id Diablo 3. Of course I think a large percentage of the game playing population are also waiting for D3….it’s going to be insane. In the immediate future, I have set my eyes on a new third person fantasy adventure title called Dragon Age: Origins.
It doth look HOT! Thank you BioWare

I have heard some pretty weird stories about the demo of Dragon Age: Origins, that was set up at the recent Penny Arcade Expo. There talk of bloody foreheads for the lucky few who were anointed during the demo game-play sessions in front of some dragon statue. Seriously ROFL!
Actually I think the extra fun had at the event and the unique video game booth experience, sounds like loads of fun. Oh how I wish I could have been at Penny Arcade this year *sob sob*

Usually I am not really a fan of third person video games. But if the storyline and amazing screenshots are anything to go by, I better get over my aversion and grab a copy of Dragon Age: Origins right away…or at least put in my order. This game looks to be very pretty indeed. Let’s hope that the game-play system has been tweaked properly.

By the sounds of it there is no good guy/ bad guy setup. However, there are opportunities to select dialogue and make choices that will affect the game flow. How much your choices actually change the scenario, we will have to wait and see.
How many different characters will there be? At the moment there are 6 announced classes. These include the usual suspects, such as defence based warriors, as well as attack, magic bombarding mages and a sneaky back stabbing thief class.

So, take up the fight against the enemy hordes. Prove your worth and join the ranks of the Gray Wardens. It’s time to get seriously fantasyfied. Dragon Age: Origins will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
The game was released earlier this month, so it should be at a gaming store near you. Just in time for Christmas. Nothing like drinking egg nog, singing Xmas songs and summoning up a fire ball of ultimate wrath.

Duncs.
