Greetings friends of Mother Earth.
With Earth Hour just around the corner and of course the Summit for climate change in Copenhagen, there has been a huge buzz over all things eco-friendly. Springleap.com has also gotten in on the green thumb fever for this very important time in human history. Of course when it comes to Springleap.com we say it best with Eco-friendly t-shirts. Our Enviro Mental theme competition, is exactly what the doctor ordered methinks.
I’ve always been a huge fan of our Springleap.com eco-friendly t-shirts. From the good old days of Forest in my Mind, to the slightly more recent Extinction, all have inspired patriotic environmental feelings.
I truly believe that the more you see something the more it resonates in your mind. It’s pretty much the tactic of most advertising/marketing. Bombard the public with some arb product that you don’t really need….and then suddenly they want it. With the state of urgency in regards to climate change, I think that the more we see and hear about the truths of what is happening to our world the better. Its advertising/marketing that is actually doing us some good!
Now, this may sound like some kind of Tree Hugging Hippy Gospel, but it’s vital to speak to people about climate change. Wearing eco-friendly t-shirts and expressing your message is great…but it’s not good enough. Be an eco-warrior! Chat to people that take the whole subject of climate change too lightly and let them know what kind of trouble we are in. Perhaps tell them about Earth Hour and what it represents…I had to give my hairdresser the whole lowdown because she didn’t have a clue.
Its not that people don’t care. Sometimes in our busy lives, the last thing we have on your minds after a full day of work, feeding the kids and doing the washing…is climate change.
What is even more strange, is that all of these activities are tightly related to climate change, ironic isn’t it?
The food we eat, the jobs we work, even the water we use for washing, all relates to the fragile balance of our planet. Support Earth Hour and the Copenhagen summit….make your voice heard.
If you are artistic get into the Green Thumb vibe, by submitting a cool eco-friendly t-shirt design to the Springleap.com Enviro Mental theme competition. It’s one of the best ways to make yourself heard all over the globe.
Duncs.
