Greeting Springleapers.
Today I’m happy to announce the very awesome new theme competition coming your way after our Ye-LOL-ow compo. This one is called Down The Rabbit Hole.
Perhaps without explaining further, you can already guess at what the competition requires.
This one is going to take all the imagination you can muster, in order to pull off a win.
First things first, I want you to visualize Alice in Wonderland. This is a basic idea of what we are looking for in a design.
Now, when I say Alice in Wonderland, I don’t want you all to think that you must now go out there and think about a design based around the well known story.
Rather, use the story as a starting point for your imagination.
Alice in Wonderland has warped young fragile minds for generations, with its amazing fantasy world of giant mushrooms, talking cats and magic potions. We want your mind to be enveloped in a similar mindset. Think of twisted worlds, inhabited by strange beings. The further you go Down The Rabbit Hole, the more bizarre and other-worldly your designs should become.
Madness and hilarity combine into an unlimited world of creative design.
Honestly, there are a million and one funky designs that the mind can conjure with the Down The Rabbit Hole theme competition.
For me personally, I feel this particular compo is the first real opportunity to go absolutely nuts with your creativity.
I wanna see purple slugs eating cake with the queen, men made from magma trying to eat ice cream, parrots that enjoy spelunking….the insanity is endless.
Bring it on all you super designers out there….let your inner-crazy person burst forth in a myriad of demented glory.
