The Wright Stuff

Ello Ello.

Have you cast your votes for the latest Springleap.com theme competition yet?
I was blown away by a good many of the new designs for The Wright Stuff.
As always I give my top 3 picks for the competition. Of course these are my own opinion of what The Wright Stuff top designs will be. While my “design choosing” aim has been slightly off the past few months, I am always ready to get those powers back.

Ok, my The Wright Stuff top designs are, in my opinion, a pretty safe bet on who will come out as the champion. Of course last time I was wrong. Sebasebi’s winning design Post Apocalypse was honestly a surprise for me. It’s not that I don’t think it’s good, which it is. But, rather I would have expected his Monster Pollution design to draw more attention.

This time I have 3 designs that really stand out above the rest:

Duncan’s The Wright Stuff top designs NO.1:
My first choice, which may perhaps be the “dark horse” of the lot is Mikdog’s The Flying Dutchman. Obviously you can see Mikdog’s artistic technique a mile away with this one.
This entire design has so much going for it: It has a South African flavour, it has attention to detail and finally a great colour palette, which in many ways reminds me of the famous Video Games Rock by Dusty Rich.
I know that this is an international competition and that many of the foreign voters won’t quite get this one. But, the majority of the Springleap.com voters, which may be Saffas, will absolutely love this design.
It’s really unique and the last thing I thought I would see on The Wright Stuff them competition.
All of this designs artist elements work wonders. When I look at the attention to detail I am blown away….just look at the comb in his sock. LOL perfect!

Duncan’s The Wright Stuff top designs NO.2:
Next up we have a real temporal mix of design ideas. May-Day by OneAway, was originally inspired by the world War 2 planes that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle. Shoooo, who would have known it was pesky giant eagles. My, my, this design really made me smile.
Perhaps the biggest selling point on this design is the softness of the colours. The eagle and planes are edgy, but the softness of the colour makes May-Day almost come alive. At a quick glance the technique almost comes across as watercolour.
If this t-shirt was printed, it would def be on my Springleap.com t-shirt wish list. GREAT work OneAway.

Duncan’s The Wright Stuff top designs NO.3:
My last choice for The Wright Stuff has to be the mega cute entry by Carterworks entitled Aviacorn.
I’m a huge fan of these cute little acorns. They have somehow learnt to ride the wind and journey far away from their mother tree. I can see truly free-spirited individuals, absolutely loving this design to death.
Aviacorn is loaded with character design power….too cute. However, it’s a cute that translates well with not only girls, but the dudes as well.

So there we have it my top designs.
Now we will have to wait and see what the community votes…let’s hope I don’t get hung out to dry again LOL.
Please go across and vote my friends…show your support for up and coming design.

Duncs.
