Hiya everyone.
Every now and then I hear a bit of movie related news that makes my hair stand on end. When I heard that the Spiderman 4 movie was underway, I had to shake my head and plead to the heavens WHY?
Seriously, in case you watched an entirely different movie, you had to know that Spiderman 3 was an absolute washout.
It’s amazing just how easy it is for Hollywood to destroy a comic book classic.
I have to say I was pretty surprised that Tobey Maguire decided to make a return in Spiderman 4.
So why should I be surprised that he is back? Well, for starters, he said he wouldn’t do another after the 3rd, unless everyone from the original movies was back on board, which I suppose means good things. However, after the Spiderman 3 made a mockery of our “friendly neighbourhood Spiderman”, one has to wonder, how can they stuff it up any more than they already have?
The answer it would seem is the fact that they may create an entirely new Super Villain to battle against Peter Parker in Spiderman 4. Word on the street is that Anne Hathaway (lol) will be playing The Black cat.
Even more frightening is that John Malkovich has been said to be joining to cast as perhaps the Vulture.
Yep, this is rather frightening news!
If it was up to me, which it isn’t, I’d have to include a villain with a bit more ‘oomf’.
Seriously, is the Vulture and Black Cat the best they could come up with? How about Mysterio….now THAT would rock!
In all honesty the original Spidreman 1 was ok. The Goblin was a great choice, no complaints. But to use Doc Oc and Venom so early, was a huge mistake.
Spidey should have been warming up before he faced monsters like Venom. What would they do now, suddenly throw him to carnage? Eish, this just doesn’t make sense to me 
I have to say I am very interested to see what they do with Spiderman 4. Of course at this early stage they may just be trying to throw us a curve ball to keep us off the scent of the real villains. We can only hope and pray!
Who do you all think should be our next major adversary in Spiderman 4?
