The Springleap.com voting system very seldom gives anything away. Sure it’s easy to know which design will become favourites just because of their own design power. But, is it also safe to assume that a design that has lots of positive comments also has a better chance of winning?
If I were to pick my top 3 designs purely on what the popular vote has been from the community…this is how the standings would probably look so far.
Well if popular vote is determined by how many comments any one design receives, then without doubt SFD’s Makaraba King would be top of the pile. This design has 3 full pages of comments thus far…and it’s continuously growing. It is also a design that looks good and has tons of potential to take the win. However, there are a few comments that are negative. I think my comment was also slightly negative truth to tell. I said,” I digz the idea, it just seems slightly incomplete…like something critical is missing. Maybe it’s the card shape to encapsulate the image thats missing.”
So perhaps not all feedback that makes up SFD’s comments are good!
If the number of comments is related to a win this fellow could well be our next winner.
SarahBella’s design Literal Translation has also felt a good deal of comment love. Most comments praised her for her simplistic take on the World Cup brand. Personally I’m not a big fan of this design. Its waaaay too simple for me to ever consider buying. Without being too nasty it’s the kind of simple design that you see on flea market t-shirts…eish, ok that didn’t sound nice at all. My apologies SarahBella, but I’d like to see more of your designs that have more depth. Your “Telkomesque” Connect the Dots design was much better and suited the simple style.
I’m pretty sure that this design will not stand up to the might of Makaraba King and Diski Warriors, but I still get the feeling that it will finish up close to the top (at least top 8).
Gale Force Football by Jabanero is another design that is racking it up in the popular vote comment rankings. This stunning design has received a truck load of positive feedback and has gained Jabanero a steady following of admirers, I myself am one of them.
Stunning simplistic design elements, beautifully stylized and great choice of colours! This is a very well balanced design which I would love to wear around town.
While I have chosen my favourite 3 designs for the competition already, these 3 designs are all in there with a good chance of shaking thinks up a bit. These are arguably our Springleap.com popular vote favourites!
