blast from the past

Wimpy 1972

Hi there friends.

There is nothing I like more than a blast from the past.
Whether it be, retro sneakers or dodgy old school music…I simply love the days of yore

While Some things have changed I find that inevitably there are other things that just haven’t.
Take a look at this brilliant retrospective glimpse of SA.

It’s 1972 and the evil days of inequality are still running wild and consuming a country with terror and uncertainty. What could you do back in 72 when you had simply had enough of the horrible things going on around you? How about drown your sorrows in a tall milkshake, or devour a super tasty stack of pancakes…..yeah ok so maybe most people would go for something harder haha.
Personally when I’m feeling down I stay away from “grandpas ol cough medicine” and rather indulge in something sickeningly sweet. Just take a look at this brilliant menu from Wimpy in 1972…it will blow your mind.

Inflation is a bitch, yes indeed. However even with inflation how can Wimpy, or any other restaurant for that matter, justify the prices we pay today.
Check this out:
Tea - .12c
Double Thick Milkshake - .30c
Burger and chips - .35c
Porterhouse steak - 1.20

The line up has already started appearing on their main page and lemme tell you it’s going to be HUGE!

Seriously there is nothing quite like the Download festival experience. When I was lucky enough to attend back in 2006 I got to experience international mega acts like Metallica, Tool, Prodigy and Guns N’ Roses….to name a few.
It seems that this year’s Download 2010 line up will be even amazing than back in 06. With a stunning line up featuring bands like Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures and Aerosmith, we can be assured of a festival that will go down as one of the best ever.
