Well well lookie here!
As the final day of submissions for the Us theme competitions ticks away to closure, I’m sure all of you designers who are still intending to send something through to us must be in a flat spin.
Here are a few words about the various theme competitions and the current printing run.
Just a quick word of caution! Please understand that it takes time for our design team to check every single design and make sure that they are up to scratch and ready to be uploaded for voting. If you are still going to submit today, I suggest that you pull out the stops to try and have it submitted before 1pm today. After all you will still have to make the necessary adjustments and send it back to us, shooooo. This all has to happen before the team knocks off at 5pm.
So as you are well aware the Faces of Africa design competition is almost coming to an end. I would like to thank all the awesome designers who sent through their amazing work. The race seems to be another very closely contested one. Obviously I don’t want to give away too much, so I will keep my trap shut….but wow, it’s neck and neck with quite a few designs.
Honestly however, even us admin have no clue who will walk away with the win at this point….gotta love the excitement!
The Advanced Photoshop theme competition is still ticking along and looking very promising. The final entries for that competition will close on the 13th of April. So yeah you still have time…but not that much time!
Good news on the printing front is that we have the Who’s your Daddy design in the stock room in red and yellow….in fact we have had them since the Design Indaba…so you may have seen them there. I was most impressed with the way this stunning Darth Vader design came out. My only issue is now deciding which colour to go for…I’m thinking yellow though. Original is sometimes best!
More great news on the printing side is that Nicetomeetyou’s mega winner from the Down the Rabbit Hole theme competition has finally arrived. That is correct boys and girls…A very important date is in the house…and looking stunning.
Dude, I need both of these designs…they are both 2 of the best that have come though in ages.
How goes everyone’s designs for the Advanced Photoshop theme competition? I can’t wait to see more of the finished designs we can expect to see fighting it out for the win….and this is a seriously big one. I mean, who doesn’t want to be featured in a magazine? A fool thats who!
