trailing designs

Hello and welcome.

While the front runners battle it out for the top spot in our latest Open Theme competition, we seem to have a few designs that are waiting in the wings who may very well possibly cause a serious upset. Yep, as we have learnt so many times in the past, no competition win is ever set in stone. Honestly I can’t even count on one hand the amount of times I was absolutely certain a design was going to take the win any given competition.
Here are a few trailing designs that seem to be creeping ever closer to the primary group.

Sirsaff has submitted a rather wonderful little design called Think Green. What I love about this design is that it has a wonderful eco awareness theme that has been delivered in a rather simple yet beautiful way. However when I say “beautiful”, I mean it in the girlies AND manliest way possible, Indeed this design could easily be worn by both, guys or girls!
This design uses some great elements to get its message across. The tree that looks like a brain, hence the “Think Green” title is really smart and needs absolutely no explanation…or at least, it shouldn’t.
There has also been a decent amount of feedback on the design from the community, with the majority being positive remarks, which can at times be an indicator of a design with a chance.
If there is a boat-load of positive comments, it bodes well indeed!

My next of my trailing designs is Let Go by the ever impressive Qimstudio. This design actually integrates a few design elements that he has used from previous competitions, but in a very appropriate, non cheesy manner! This whole design is absolutely alive with movement and grabs your attention from the moment you behold it. Seriously, this has to be one of the best I have seen from this truly talented designer. With a little bit of luck and the right kind of voters, this design could shoot up and really take on the front runners for the Open Theme.
Another aspect of this design that I enjoy is the clever use of colour. The yellows and black against the grey t-shirt background is striking beyond belief and really makes you stop and stare. Which is truly important for any t-shirt design…in fact it should be the point right lol?

These 2 awesome designs, as well as Voodoo me this by Cheekychic, which I featured yesterday all have a chance as trailing designs to make a huge upset. Whether or not they will be able to overtake the mighty Snargo, or colossal Cash remains to be seen, but I wish them all BIG luck ;)

Duncs.
