Students get in gear to win a bursary!

If any of you have a bro, sista or homie in Grade 10, 11 or 12 reading this is a must! I don’t wana bore any of ya’ll, so I’m gna try do this in a nutshell…

So, in a nutshell, Springleap.com is giving students in grade 10, 11 and 12 from Cape Town and Joburg schools the opportunity to enter a competition called the Pure Imagination Campaign, in which they need to team up and produce a cool design to be submitted on our website by May 13, 2009.

The design will then be voted on by the public and traffic generated by the marketer in the team between May 20 and June 20. The design that receives the most votes wins…wait for it…

Two three-year bursaries to AAA School of Advertising! One for each team member. The good news will be announced June 26, 2009 on our website.

We’ve already seen a number of submissions flying in and we are really exited to see what the rest of you can come up with.

The eSquared team would like to welcome the lovely Sheena to Durban eSquared- our latest addition to our fun funky fashion family.

Sheena hails from Durban and we have known her since we opened eSquared Durban in April last year. Both her and her sister Ruth are total ANIME JUNKIES (and as everyone knows - all the eSquared crew are total Anime Addicts!).

In fact, her sister Ruth is the official rep for Otaku magazine (which focuses on Anime and Anime culture) in Durban and makes sure that we get our regular fix of Anime before we get a bad case of the AAWS (Anime Anxiety Withdrawal Symptoms) - not a pretty sight I tell you!!! LX Seth vs 1818 : another major deal with Izimpande!

LX vs 1818

The fusion of LX Seth (Arish Sirkissoon) with Eurocentric pop and 1818 (Nesan Pather) a Rap artist has created a unique genre that has not been explored before. “Face Off‘” is the name of their new album and guarantees to bring their fans the best of both worlds.

LX Seth has his own label called Fusion Records and has released an album prior to this which has hit number 1 on channel O, DSTV with his hit single “Turn me on” from his debut album “Off the Hook“. His recording/distribution deal with T-Series a Bollywood label in India has landed him international recognition. 1818 has also pocketed an album called “urban poison“later called “Suburban Bliss” and which he launched underground. With the contents of his tracks being so controversial his unison with LX Seth has given them both the opportunity to work of each other respectively. I had such an awesome experience yesterday, when LX Seth came over to eSquared and we headed over to Newlands East to his good buddy and colleague Mentor, who has a really cool pro music studio where the magic all comes together for LX Seth.

I went in with no real expectations and my trusty Nepalese flute for company and met Mentor for the first time. What a super cool and professional guy! The room was really chock full of atmosphere and flavour, and Mentor handled the tracks with total professionalism and X-treme enthusiasm.
