Compare Rocket Turtle

rocket turtle compareHi there Springleapers. J

As most of you who visit the store will know the Rocket Turtle design by Darko is up and looking mega grand…yes indeed. However on my last blog posting about the completed Rocket Turtle one of our fearless leaders Eric, suggested that I should overlay a picture of the shirt with the wall mural design…just so you can see how close it actually looks. When you compare the two it’s amazing to see how close David’s looks to the original design.
As always I’m astounded by David’s ability to translate a design from screen onto a wall at a much greater scale.

Hylton - Caffeinated What?

caffeinated what

Greeting all.

For todays Tshirt of the Day I decided to use one a featured artist from Springleap.
This design comes from a dude that was also responsible for such classic Springleap designs as Fork n Spaghetti and Wheres my knife?
This designer is none other than Hylton…and his featured design entitled Caffeinated What? Is something totally out of the ordinary.

I’m a huge fan of Hylton’s style, its abstract, but also has qualities that are easy to identify.
Hylton undoubtedly integrates his surrounding and attitudes into all he creates.
Caffeinated What? is no exception

KolorGuild - KG Creations design

KG - Kolor Guild

Ello one and all.

It’s time once again for the Tshirt of the day and this time I thought it would be cool to show you a new comer to the Springleap store that made waves in its own unique way.
The reason being is that this design was the winning entry in our MXit t-shirt design competition.
The winner of this awesome competition was none other than KolorGuild, whose KG Creation design really blew the socks of the competitors.

So first off what is this design all about?
Well the idea behind this design is to take the rather mundane skull design, which has become rather commonplace these days and give it a little something extra, to make it stand out in the crowd.
KolorGuild accomplished this by taking inspiration from one of his favourite movies (Interview with a vampire) and adapting it to the skull.
By simply taking the elements of a vampire and adding them to the skull KolorGuild managed to pull off a relatively simple…yet eye catching design.

IntegralApparel - Welcome Home design

welcome home

Greetings one and all.

For Todays Tshirt of the Day I decided to go for something a little bit more natural and “flowy”.
Without doubt one of the most chilled and relaxing designs we have at Springleap has to be the Welcome Home design by IntegralApparel.

Summer is on the way and Welcome Home is a sure fire winner for the season, black becomes a little bit too much to handle and thus we have to get the more natural colours out of the cupboard and into the sunlight.
I climbed Lions Head a week or two ago and wore a black shirt….dude I almost spontaneously combusted….the whole way up I was thinking,” why oh why didn’t I choose the green shirt”.

The Welcome Home design is supposed to invoke feelings of home, which could be anything from the smell of the fabric softener, to the tree outside your bedroom window.
Any way you look at it, we should all at least have one element of home that just screams Welcome Home when you think about the past.
For me it’s my mother’s homemade banana bread and the view of the ocean from my loft…..*sigh* I do miss home.

Welcome home by IntegralApparel really does pull those good memories back from the recesses of your mind….it’s beautiful and thought provoking.

Duncs.
